Nicole Semmens has worked in the non-profit sector for over 15 years as a Program Director, serving mentally ill young adults in a residential setting.  She is an Advanced Trainer of the Nurtured Heart Approach®, having been instructed under NHA's creator, Howard Glasser.  Additionally, she has worked for the Children's Success Foundation, the organization dedicated to spreading and supporting the Nurtured Heart Approach worldwide.

Nicole is currently the owner of Relationship Matters LLC and works as an NHA®  trainer, coach, mentor, and consultant.  She has presented NHA®  in various settings including the NAMI Children's Conference, non-profit agencies, private schools, group homes and also provides private in-home coaching to parents.

Nicole uses NHA daily, both personally with her two wonderfully intense children and in her work, and has seen amazing transformations.  She is passionate about sharing NHA®  with people and helping them to create more peaceful and joyful lives.

The Nurtured Heart Approach® provides a practical method to support parents and caregivers in making children feel seen, noticed, and appreciated for who they are and what they bring to the family. NHA® is specially designed to support teachers in coping with difficult students, helping create an environment of learning success for all children where the Common Core Initiative can thrive. By providing space for individuals to experience successes in any moment, professionals using NHA®  move from a focus on problems to intentional creation of in-the-moment success. During this introductory workshop, Nicole Semmens will give you a glimpse into the 3 Stands ™  used in NHA to build healthy relationships that celebrate the intensity of the people in your life and help create Inner Wealth®  in others, which guides them to transforming their behavior from negative/destructive to successful/positive.
